Political campaign job staff are canvassers who have a proven track record of quality performance in the field. This position comes as a promotion, typically occurring after two months on staff, from Trainee campaign jobs.
Field Representatives are canvassers who have a proven track record of quality performance in the field. This position comes as a promotion, typically occurring after two months on staff, from the Trainee position. In addition to bringing back data, positive IDs on voters, and contributions, Field Representatives are responsible for helping maintain canvass culture and a positive work environment.
Political Campaign Job Responsibilities
Political campaign job staff responsibilities include:
Conduct door-to-door outreach for assigned campaign.
Petition voters, generates letters to elected officials, raises funds, persuades voters
Train with Field Managers to become a proficient canvasser. Accountable to goals set
May be given the opportunity to act as an Electoral Field Manager on a temporary basis
Participate in group training's and skill shares; collaborate with team members to gain understanding of the issues affecting one of our candidate's constituents.
Discuss these issues and our candidates with community members.
Identify and engage supporters.
Understand the needs of a community and participate in our overall efforts to elect our candidate.
Political Campaign Job Qualifications
Political campaign job qualifications include:
Share the political ideals of Working Families and have a genuine commitment to understanding the non-profit sector intimately
Have proficient oral communications skills.
Collaborate well in a team environment.
Show sensitivity to differing perspectives of community members, be able to develop warm relationships in the context of short interactions.
Political Campaign Job Pay and Benefits
